Counter-poaching Units (CPU) need a variety of tools to enable them to be effective against the war against poaching! One such tool is vehicles to patrol the wildlife areas they work in. Thanks to the commitment of Toyota South Africa to help conserve biodiversity of these areas, we were able to secure the sponsorship of a vehicle from them on 14 August 2019 at their Head Office.
The vehicle was handed over to the Umbabat CPU Manager, David Jeffree, (left) by the Umbabat Chairman, Theo van Wyk (middle) on 20 August 2019.
