Lindsey Jones
Lindsey is contracted to the Umbabat as the Communications and Stakeholder Manager. She is responsible for the dissemination of information, the website and updating the social media sites. In addition, she manages the Outreach Programme and fundraising. She has an Honours Degree in Sustainable Ecological Management and a Masters in Rural Resource Management.
Lindsey is based in the Umbabat Private Nature Reserve.
Regernt Ndhlovu
Regernt forms part of a our 2nd year (2019) of Environmental Monitor (EM) intakes. He grew up in a village called Kildare and studied to be a Field Ranger, as well as Environmental Education, at Southern African Wildlife College. In the next few years he wants to study his FGASA Level 1 in the hope of becoming a Field Guide or alternatively, a Field Ranger.
He is currently based in the village of Sigagula, just off the Orpen Rd, teaching children after-school at Sigagula Children’s Centre.
Brendan Tshikukulume
Brendan also forms part of our new intake of EM’s in 2019 and comes from Thohoyandou in Limpopo. He studied Nature Conservation at the Southern African Wildlife College. His dream is to study his FGASA Level 1 and work in the lodges as a Field Guide in the future.
He is currently based at Tsakane Special School as a Teaching Assistant. Tsakane is a government school for special needs children, based in the village of Greenvalley, just off the Orpen Rd.
Christinah Makhubele
Christinah joined us in 2019 as an EM and is from the village of Cottondale. She studied Nature Conservation at the Southern African Wildlife College and in future see’s herself as one of the “best conservationists”! She would also like to complete her FGASA Level 1 and work as an Environmental Educator in future.
She is currently based at Tsakane Special School as a Teaching Assistant, with Brendan. Tsakane is a government school for special needs children, based in the village of Greenvalley, just off the Orpen Rd.
